Hazel Juanita Wood Ratcliff, age 77, passed away on March 12, 2018.

Hazel was born in Bay Springs, MS to Clevie Wood and Sadie Wood. Hazel was married to Cil Ratcliff for over 58 years.

Hazel was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a devoted Christian who loved her family and spending time with them. She enjoyed tending to her flowers, reading her Bible every day, and cooking for her family. Hazel was an inspiration to everyone around her and will be missed by all.

She is survived by sons, Jerry Ratcliff (June), and Mike Ratcliff (Shelly); daughter, Helen Melton (Joey); grandchildren, Ashley Lloyd (BoBo), Christopher Ratcliff (Sasha), Amanda Ratcliff, Tonya Parsons (Andy), Scotty Ingram, Tosha Stockman (Robert), Brittany Mercer (J.T.), John Ratcliff (Yumila), Timothy Ratcliff, and Mikel Landrum (Kristen); sisters, Inez Montgomery (Bobby) and Linda Harris (Harold) and one brother Cranford Wood; 16 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by parents, Clevie and Sadie Wood, sisters, Bobbie Harris, Pauline Ogden, Gloria McWilliams, and Helen Wood; brother, James Wood.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, 14th of March, 2018 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs. Funeral Services for Mrs Hazel Ratcliff will be held on Thursday, March 15, 2018, at 2:00 PM at Lake Coma Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Lake Coma Baptist Church Cemetery in Bay Springs, Mississippi.

Pallbearers will be Tim Ratcliff, Christopher Ratcliff, John Ratcliff, Mikel Landrum, J.T. Mercer and Floyd Harris.
