Obituary

Henry Wallace "Bub" Bogan, aged 84, of the Fellowship Community in Jasper County, Mississippi, passed away peacefully at his residence on Monday, June 2, 2025. Born on December 2, 1940, in the same community, he lived a life dedicated to his family, faith, and community service.

A graveside funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Fellowship Baptist Church, located at 4068 County Road 24, Enterprise, MS, in Jasper County. The service will be officiated by Bro. Roger Ivy, with arrangements handled by Newton County Funeral Home - South.

Wallace was a devoted member and Deacon of the Fellowship Baptist Church. He was a graduate of Enterprise High School and furthered his education at Jones Junior College in Ellisville, MS. On September 26, 1959, he married the love of his life, Claudie Little Bogan, with whom he shared a beautiful family.

His career began at the Jasper County Barn Beat 2, he then taught Vo Tech at Enterprise School System. He later became a co-owner and operator of B & G Corner alongside his brother-in-law, Martin Gunn. Wallace was elected to the Board of Supervisors Beat 2 in Jasper County for two terms and retired as the Transportation Director at Enterprise School System in Enterprise, MS.

Wallace was passionate about working on cars and cherished spending time with his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Claudie Little Bogan of Hickory, MS; his daughter, Cindy Bogan Chisolm and her husband Thomas; his grandson, Thomas Wallace Chisolm and his wife Sarah; and his great-grandsons, Thomas Gavin Chisolm and Graylen Jude Chisolm. He also leaves behind a host of extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lionel and Mary Lou Lewis Bogan, and his brothers, Noflet Bogan and Lewis Ray Bogan.

Pallbearers for the service will include Edward Pearson, Les Risher, Neil Little, Joey Moulds, Matthew Bogan, and Raymond Dear, with honorary pallbearers TW Chisolm, Pete Nance, Tommy Smith, and the late Martin Gunn.

Wallace's legacy of love, dedication, and service will be remembered by all who knew him.
