James E. Ainsworth, 82, of Stringer, MS died Sunday, September 03, 2017 at his residence in Stringer, MS. He was born Monday, November 05, 1934 in Stringer, MS.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 06, 2017 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs in Bay Springs, MS. Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 07, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs. Bro. Darren Dickens will officiate. He is preceded in death by his father, Columbus "Lum" Ainsworth; mother, Arizona Ainsworth; sister, Leota Ainsworth; brothers, Marion and Frank Ainsworth; and granddaughter, Emily Saxon.

Survivors include his wife, Marcie Ainsworth, Stringer, MS; daughter, Jamie Ainsworth McBride (Ken), Danville, VA; son, Jeffrey W. Ainsworth, Villa Rica, GA; daughter, Ava G. Hallett, Mobile, AL; daughter, Roxanne A. Purcell (Neil), Villa Rica, GA; 9 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; sister, Mary F. Barnett, Hattiesburg, MS and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
