James “Jimmy” B. Keenan Jr., 82, of Rose Hill, MS passed away on Thursday, October 8, 2026. Jimmy was born in Rose Hill on June 20, 1944. Jimmy graduated from Heidelberg High School in 1962. He served in the U.S. Army for 3 years from June 1965 until June 1968. He worked at Flintkote in Meridian for 38 years. He was a member of Wesley Independent Methodist Church of Rose Hill.
Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents, Jim Nan Keenan; his brother, John Keenan and his niece Tina Bonner.
Jimmy is survived by his wife of 44 years, Dianne; children, Chris Knotts (Allyson) and Kaci Scoggins (Andy), 7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren; sister, Eleanor Sims; nieces, Kary Sims and Kate Covich (Sean), and nephew Lyle Keenan (Tina).
Visitation will be held October 11, 2026, at Wesley Independent Methodist Church from 1:30 pm until 3:00 pm with the funeral Service to follow at 3:00pm. The Burial service will follow at Twistwood Cemetery in Rose Hill. Rev. Chris Williams and Mike Beddingfield will officiate.
Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Will Knotts, John Wesley Knotts, Jared Luebbert, Andy Scoggins, David Anthony, and Lyle Keenan.
Honorary pallbearers will be the coworkers of Flintkote, and the men of Wesley Independent Methodist Chuch.
