Obituary

James Lester Wade, 81, of Louin, MS died Friday, June 26, 2015 at Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian, MS. He was born Tuesday, November 14, 1933 in Collins, MS.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 28, 2015 at 3:30 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Taylorsville, MS. Burial will follow in New Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery in Mt. Olive, MS. Bro. William Spencer will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs in charge of arrangements. (601) 764-2181

Mr. Wade was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Louin, MS where he served as a deacon. He retired from Southern Pine after 42 years (1954 - 1996) of service. At Southern Pine, he was a truck driver and had driven and operated every type of truck in their fleet, including a digger truck and a bucket truck. When he retired, he had an accident free record for all of his 42 years there. He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather.

He is preceded in death by his father, Dan Wade; mother, Lula Mae Mayfield Wade; brothers, J.D. Wade and Charles Wade; sisters, Ina Ishee, Merlene Abercrombie, Eunice Rawls, Lessie Jackson and Winnie McLaurin.

Survivors include his wife, Carol Chisholm Wade, Louin, MS; son, James Daniel Wade (Deborah), Laurel, MS; step-sons, Richard Evans (Susan), Brandon, MS and Jeff Evans (Rhonda), Bay Springs, MS; daughter, Betty Ann Vaughn, Taylorsville, MS; step-daughter, Suzanne Smith, Brandon, MS; sister, Bernice Morgan, Seminary, MS; 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Dan Powell, C. J. Landrum, Danny Wade , Eddie Stevens, Andrew Stevens and Jeff Evans. Frank Stevens will serve as honorary pallbearer.

Visitation will be held Sunday, June 28, 2015 from 2:00 PM until 3:30 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Taylorsville.
