Janet L. Hennis Phillips, 82, of Bay Springs, MS died Tuesday, May 02, 2017 at Jasper General Nursing Home in Bay Springs, MS. She was born Sunday, January 27, 1935 in Forrest County, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held Thursday, May 04, 2017 from 1:00 PM until 2:30 PM at Bethany Baptist Church in Bay Springs. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 04, 2017 at 2:30 PM at Bethany Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery in Stringer, MS. Bro. Darrell Craft will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs is in charge of arrangements. (601)764-2181

Janet was a faithful member of Bethany Baptist Church in Bay Springs, also a dedicated employee of NECO. She was a loving friend and caring mother, and will be missed by all.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Ina "Dimple" Hennis; husbands, Harmon Phillips and Charles Earlon Dearman, son, Alton Dearman, daughter, Charlene Moss and son, Charles David Dearman, three brothers and three sisters.

Survivors include her daughter, Ann Broome (Reese); son, Earlon Wayne Dearman (Nancy); son, Joseph Floyd Dearman (Donna); Four Step Children; brother, Doug Hennis; sister, Sue Cameron; 13 grandchildren: 19 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren and son-in-law, Craig Moss.

Pallbearers will be David Phillips, Scott Ansley, Shawn Burkeen, Chris Hennis, John Walters and Marvin Phillips.
