Janis Sue Ladner Hilbun, 62, of Bay Springs, MS passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at South Central Regional Medical Center in Laurel, MS. She was born Monday, October 2, 1961, in Biloxi, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2024, from 9:30AM until 11:00AM at Bethany Baptist Church at 746 County Road 1725, Bay Springs, Mississippi, with funeral services to follow beginning at 11:00AM. Bro. Eddie Brady will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs is in charge of arrangements. 601-764-2181.

Janis was a caretaker for many people including her parents and husband. She loved everyone and never met a stranger.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Hilbun; father, Sherman Ladner, Sr.; mother, Irene Rayner Ladner.

Survivors include her daughters, Leann Ainsworth (Tony) and Julie Ainsworth; son, Jayson Hilbun; 9 grandchildren; brother, Sherman Ladner, Jr. (Beth); sisters, Brenda Ingram (Paul), Mary Gatewood, Linda Moran and Glenda Loper; host of nieces, nephews, special cousins, friends and special caretaker, Carlee Lindsey.

Pallbearers will be Chris Hennis, Matthew Hennis, Sam Houston, Gage Ingram, Jayson Hilbun, and Bo Rayner.

Honorary pallbearers will be Paul Ingram and Sherman Ladner Jr.
