Jean McLelland Blakeney, 84, of Taylorsville, Mississippi, passed away Monday in Mandeville, LA. She was born June 22, 1934 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy L. Blakeney; her parents, Charles and Grace McLelland; her son, Charles Clay Blakeney; her brother, Charles C. McLelland, Jr.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Mary Ann and Jerry Valladares of Mandeville, LA; her son, Billy Mark Blakeney of Taylorsville, MS; her sister, Ann M. Hoover of Clinton, MS; two nieces; one nephew; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
