Jean Margaret Nelson, 87, of Bay Springs, Mississippi, passed away Friday, January 3, 2020, at her home. She was born Saturday, October 8, 1932 in Luton, Bedfordshire, England.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Gladys Mae Gilbert; her five siblings, Shirley, Christina, Nancy, Victor, and Don.

Survivors include her husband, Mitchell Nelson; her two children, Debbie Jean Smith (Kyle) and Gary Nelson (Carla); her grandchildren, Rusty Smith, Sawyer Smith, Austin Smith (Natalie), Taylor Nelson, Collin Nelson, Jewel Nelson, and Jennifer Davidson; two great-grandchildren, Braxton Nelson and Autumn Smith; her brother and sister, Bill Gilbert (Barbara) of CA and Marion Barton (John) of England; numerous nieces and nephews.
