Jeffrey Glenn Buckley, 61, of Stringer, MS, passed away Monday, the eleventh of March,2024 at Jasper General Hospital in Bay Springs. He was born on June 29, 1962 in Laurel to Norvel and Angelia Buckley.

Visitation will be at Liberty Baptist Church in Stringer, MS on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at 10 a.m. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the church with burial in Liberty Baptist Cemetery in Stringer, Mississippi. Bro. Stanley Doggett and Bro. Keith Ulmer will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs is in charge of arrangements. 601-764-2181

Jeffrey loved the outdoors, sitting on his front porch and greeting everyone that came by. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, feeding squirrels, deer, and his birds. He spent many afternoons grilling, while enjoying the peace of the outdoors. Jeffrey loved Ole Miss football dearly and was always ready to talk about his Rebels.

He is preceded in death by his daughter, LaDonna Buckley; his father, Norvel Buckley, Jr. and his brother, Randy Buckley.

Survivors include his daughters, Kristen Buckley (Wayne), and Trista Myrick (Billy); the mother of his children, Donna Parker; his mother, Angelia Hosey Buckley; his brother, Rick Buckley (Marilyn); his sister, Cheryl Shoemaker (Larry), his grandsons, Jerrod West, Weston Buckley and Collin Ray Myrick; his granddaughter, Layla Buckley and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Jasper General Hospital for their kindness and care of Jeffrey.

Pallbearers will be Jamie Smith, Brandon Smith, Shannon Lee, Jerrod West, Weston Buckley, and Hollis Weems.

Honorary pallbearers will be Collin Ray Myrick and Hudson Weems.
