Jerry Glenn Pugh, 82 of Louin, passed away Thursday, September 1, 2022 at the South Central Regional Medical Center in Laurel. He was born Sunday, March 17, 1940 in Bay Springs, Mississippi.

Graveside services will be held on Sunday, September 04, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Antioch Baptist Cemetery. Bro. Matt Olson and Bro. Steve Pouncey will officiate.

There will be no visitation.

Mr. Pugh was a lifelong resident of Jasper County. He attended school at Antioch and Louin and graduated from Bay Springs High School. He accepted Christ at a young age and loved serving the Lord. He was a deacon and a member of Antioch Baptist Church. He loved to fish and loved having a vegetable garden. He enjoyed playing instruments and singing.

He was preceded in death by his father, Obie Pugh; mother, Nannie Mae Jordan Pugh and sister, Pat Gardner.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Jo Ann Adams Pugh of Louin;  daughter, Dawn Sims of Bay Springs; son, Dr. Adam Pugh (Kim) of Oxford; grandsons, Jordan Sims,  Zach Pugh, Peyton Sims, and Andrew Pugh;  granddaughters, Fallon Sims and Claire Anne Pugh; several nieces and nephews;  one  brother-in-law and two  sisters-in-law.

Pallbearers will be Barry Jordan, Jordan Sims, Peyton Sims, Fallon Sims, Adam Pugh, Zach Pugh, Andrew Pugh, and Claire Anne Pugh.

Honorary pallbearers will be Deacons at Antioch Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Gideon's International, or to the Antioch Baptist Cemetery Fund.

Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Bay Springs is in charge of arrangements.
