Jerry Sim Upton, 79, of Louin, Mississippi, died Monday, January 27, 2020 in Louin, Mississippi. He was born Friday, October 18, 1940 in Bay Springs, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 31, 2020 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at the Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Bay Springs, Mississippi. Funeral Services will be held Friday, January 31, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs and the Burial will follow in Salem Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Paul Hand and Bro. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert L. and Vivian Upton, brothers, J.C. Upton, Elbert Upton, James Upton, sisters, Florence Phillips, Anna Hendry, Minnie Penny Downs, son, Michael Couch.

Survivors include his wife, M. Avanell Upton, daughters, Pamela Speed (Gary), Tammy Gregg, son, Steven Upton, daughter, Jill Rector (Keith), grandchildren, Michael Gregg (Shana), Gerritt Gregg (Breanna), Laise Summerlin and Lindsey Couch , great-grandchildren, Kayleigh Gregg, Clay Gregg, Corbin and Kyler Chancellor, Cameron Spurlin, Jax Ray and Dallas Summerlin.

Pallbearers will be Michael Gregg, Gerritt Gregg, Bobby Phillips, Judson Wilson, Tim Upton, Ray Windham, Frankie Upton and Stanley Phillips.
