Jewel R. Dykes, 99, of Stringer, Mississippi, died Wednesday, April 22, 2020 in Stringer, Mississippi. She was born Thursday, June 10, 1920 in Louin, Mississippi.

Private Funeral Services will be held at Fair Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Ovee Cornel will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs is in charge of arrangements. (601) 764-2181.

Jewel was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, friend to everyone, and will be missed by all.

She was preceded in death by her husband, G.L. Dykes, parents, Luther and Melissa Montgomery; brothers, L.B. Montgomery, Jack Montgomery; daughter in-law, Katie Ann Dykes.

Survivors include her sons, Larry Dykes, and Jerry Dykes (Carolyn); grandchildren, Shane Dykes (Kerri), Shana Hosey (Wade), Chris Dykes, and Julie K. McNeil (Gabe); great-grandchildren, Josh Dykes (Britney), Jared Hosey, Abby Grace Hosey, Paige McNeil, and Aubree McNeil; great-great-grandchildren, Jaylen Dykes and Hallie Dykes; sister, Jessie Phillips, special friend/caregiver, Charlotte Parker.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Stringer United Methodist Church.
