Jimmie L. Harper, 87, of Bay Springs, Mississippi, died Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at her home in Bay Springs, Mississippi. She was born Wednesday, March 11, 1931 in Newton, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 7, 2018 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at the Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs in Bay Springs, Mississippi. Graveside services will be held Thursday, June 7, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Bay Springs City Cemetery and the Burial will follow in Bay Springs City Cemetery. Dr. Frank Harmon and Nathan Trosper will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Bay Springs is in charge of arrangements. (601) 764-2181

Ms Jimmie was an active member of Lydia Sunday School Class at Bay Springs Baptist Church until her illness. She attended the University of Southern Mississippi where she was a member of the Sigma Sigma Sigma Sorority.  She was also a supporter for Relay for Life for several years.

She was preceded in death by Grady Pat Harper (Husband), Dr. W.C. Simmons (Father), Addie Simmons (Mother), Marjorie Faggard (Sister), Christopher Rogers (Grandson).

Survivors include Debbie Rogers (Larry) (Daughter), Kathy Guzman (Richard) (Daughter), Mitch Rogers (Ashley) (Grandson), Mitzi Trosper (Nathan) (Granddaughter), Allison Thames (Granddaughter), Matthew Posey (Grandson), Ethan Trosper (Great-grandson), Madelyn Trosper (Great-granddaughter), Alyssa Trosper (Great-granddaughter), Caden Trosper (Great-grandson), Stephen Rogers (Great-grandson), Jordan Rogers (Great-grandson).

Pallbearers will be Mitch Rogers, Nathan Trosper, Matthew Posey, Daniel Cook, Denny Faggard, and Matthew Faggard.

In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to MD Anderson Hospital, Baptist Children's Village or Samaritian's Purse.
