Jimmy Randell Carr
(January 14, 1946 – October 12, 2024)

Jimmy Randell Carr, 78, of Clear Springs, MS, passed away on October 12, 2024. Born January 14, 1946, Jimmy was known for his humor, wisdom, storytelling, and profound ability to fix anything that was broken. Jimmy was a member of Leaf River Baptist Church.

He was a devout follower of Christ and was passionate about discussing and teaching God's word, having written several commentaries on different books in the Bible.

Throughout his life, Jimmy enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, and working hard to provide for his family. Jimmy's humor was well known and brought joy to those around him.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, Odell and Ruby Carr; sister, June Vallancourt; and his beloved wife, Alicia Carr.

Jimmy is survived by his daughter, Angela Dickerson & her husband David of Clear Springs, MS; son, Mickey Carr & wife Audrey, & Grandson Brodie Carr of Sumrall, MS; Granddaughters, Kelli Blakeney of Bossier City, LA & Marla Carr of Shelbyville, TN.

Jimmy will be laid to rest with a graveside service in Pineville Leaf River Cemetery in Pineville, MS on Thursday, October 17, 2024, at 4:00 p.m.
