Joan Hendry Welborn, 82, of Weatherford, Texas, former resident of Bay Springs, MS, died Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at her residence in Weatherford, Texas. She was born Saturday, September 12, 1936 in Millsap, Texas.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 30, 2019 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs in Bay Springs, Mississippi. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, August 31, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs and Burial will follow in Walters Chapel Cemetery. Bro. She worked as a Registered Nurse for many years at Jasper General Hospital, South Central Regional Medical Center and Pro Care Home Health. She was loved by everyone she came in contact with and cared for. Loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She was a teacher of life and a mother to all who was lucky enough to be loved by her. She was a friend to all who met her. She was the best mom and mamaw any kid ever had. She was a member of Greenwood Baptist Church in Weatherford, TX.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John Harley and Sallie Opal Massie, brother, Kenneth Massie.

Survivors include her daughters, Lisa Hendry Griffin, Donnett Hendry Weeks, Franna Hendry McMinn, son, Keith Hendry, grandchildren, Ashley Williams, Tyler Yelverton, Josh Hendry, Austin Hendry, Emilee Hendry, Jesse Hendry, Grace Hendry, Kaylee Hendry, Whitney Hendry, Brittany Vega, Courtney Kirkland, Ashley Yates, Dakota McMinn, great-grandchildren, Hannah Williams, Gabrielle Williams, Audrey Sewell, Kate Sewell, Wyatt Sewell, Kaitlynn Vega, Harley Yates, Abigal Kirkland, Caleb Kirkland, Arabella Kirkland, Winnie Jo Hendry, Hayden Yelverton, Avery Yelverton, Callen Yelverton, great-great-grandchild, Xander Williams Barham, brother, Billy Ray Massie, David Massie.

Pallbearers will be Josh Hendry, Austin Hendry, Tyler Yelverton, Justin Vega, Patrick Kirkland, and Bit Yates.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dakota McMinn.
