John Earl Gandy, 53 of Mize, MS passed away Saturday, October 15, 2022.  He was born Monday, March 10, 1969 at Travis Air Force Base in California.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 19, 2022 from 10:00AM until 12:00PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Raleigh, MS with funeral services immediately following.   Burial will take place at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery #2 in Raleigh, Mississippi. Bro. David Hays will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Raleigh is in charge of arrangements (601)764-2181.

John loved his family, especially his grandchildren.  He was the ultimate joker and prankster who greatly enjoyed watching football and camping!

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Allison Stewart Gandy; grandparents:  Marvin and Betty Scott, John Earl Gandy, and Billie and Kent Bryant.

Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Angela Kelly Gandy; daughters, Paula Powell (DJ) and Abby Sanderford (Justin); parents: Billy Earl and Reta Scott Gandy; grandchildren, Carter Sanderford, Bailey Sanderford, Delaney Powell and Jace Powell; sister, Stephanie Gandy; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Pallbearers will be Gerry Hudson, Scott Hayman, Ken Ashley, Bert Henderson, Jason Wilson, and Phillip Henderson.

Honorary pallbearers will be Shannon Matthews, Ken Deese, Dean Scott, Dave Rawson, Jeremy Hopkins, Tony Harris, and Corey Hopkins.
