John Lee Hester, 68, of Taylorsville, Mississippi, died Sunday, July 14, 2019 at his residence in Taylorsville, Mississippi. He was born Saturday, February 3, 1951 in Raleigh, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 16, 2019 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Raleigh, Mississippi. Private graveside services will be held at a later date. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Raleigh is in charge of arrangements. (601) 782-4544

John's greatest joy was his daughter, his son, and his pets.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Alyce Marie Blackwell Hester and his father, Hubert Hester of McKenzie, TN.

Survivors include his children, Jonathan Hester and Heather Hester, sister, Ann Hester Alexander (Jack).
