John Ervin "Johnny" Anderson
(February 1, 1958 – November 6, 2023)
John Ervin "Johnny" Anderson, 65 of Bay Springs, Mississippi passed away from his earthly home to his heavenly home on Monday, November 6, 2023. He was born on Saturday, February 1, 1958, in Laurel, Mississippi.
Johnny was a devoted family man, business owner, and avid outdoorsman.
He was the founder and owner of Anderson Construction, a company he started in 1982 with just a few tools and a pickup truck. In his early years, Johnny primarily focused on residential construction. He was quite a talented craftsman. His business continued to expand as Johnny began doing commercial construction, heavy equipment and trucking; no job was ever too big or too small for him. He had an unmatched skillset and was well known for his exceptional work throughout the community.
Johnny was dedicated to his work, but also passionate about the outdoors. When he wasn't working, you could always count on him to be doing something outdoors. He was an avid deer hunter and was always preparing for the upcoming season. If he wasn't actively getting ready for deer season, you can bet he was surely thinking about his plans for the upcoming season!
Johnny was one of a kind, to say the least. But, above all, he was undoubtedly the most loyal husband to his wife, whom he loved deeply. He was an astounding father to his children and a great mentor and best friend to many in the community. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need and without hesitation. He had a wealth of knowledge and truly enjoyed being able to share what he knew with anyone who asked. We have all truly lost a great man, and he will be deeply missed by his family, friends and community.
