Mr. John David Thornton, age 58, passed away on October 19, 2018 at his residence.

John David was born in Bay Springs, MS.  John David will be remembered for his love to hunt, fish and ride four-wheelers.  He was loved by all and will certainly be missed by all that knew him.

He is survived by daughter Felicia Knotts; mother Louise Thornton; sisters: Patsy Welborn, Jean Mealer, Peggy Knight; grandsons: Austin Knotts and Dylan Knotts; granddaughter Alexis McDaniel; and fiancé Gwin Sullivan.

He was preceded in death by his wife Debbie Thornton and his father John Thornton.

Visitation will be held Monday, October 22, 2018 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 with Bro. Carlton McNeer officiating. Burial will follow at Jesus Name Cemetery in Sylvarena.

Pallbearers will be Mike Mealer, Dan Miller, Austin Knotts, Albert Blackwell, Allen Gray, and Todd Wallace.

Honorary pallbearers are Dylan Knotts, Ricky Welborn, Howard Perkins and Ronnie Ulmer.
