John Hubert Windham, 86, of Bay Springs, Mississippi, passed away Thursday, November 1, 2018 at Brandon Nursing and Rehab Center in Brandon, Mississippi. He was born Friday, October 14, 1932 in Bay Springs, Mississippi.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, November 3, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Bay Springs City Cemetery with burial to follow. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. (601) 764-2181

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Obie Windham and Lela Elizabeth Jordan Windham and siblings, James Wyatt Windham, Fannie Ruth Boutwell and Maurice F. Windham.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Helen Cargile Windham; daughter, Patti Stephens, Mobile, AL; grandchildren, Andrew Stephens, Houston, TX and Ashley Stephens Poche, Gonzales, LA; 2 great-granddaughters; niece, Libby Thornton, Bay Springs, MS; great-niece, Nikki Jefcoat, Bay Springs, MS; 1 great-great nephew and 1 great-great niece.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
