Johnathan Paul Bowen, age 57, and a former resident of Raleigh, passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2026 at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson.
Graveside services will begin at 11:00 am on Monday, May 18, 2026, at Double Church Cemetery under the direction of Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Raleigh. There will be no visitation.
Mr. Bowen was a 1987 graduate of Raleigh High School, and furthered his education at Jones Junior College, where he obtained an associate's degree. His professional career in factory maintenance spanned a tenure of almost forty years, and most recently at Nissan, Inc. at Canton, where he worked for the last twenty years. Scuba diving, video games and being a published author were additions to his life, that Johnathan considered as great accomplishments. He loved his family very much, especially his wife, Miriam and son, Kyle. He will be missed by those who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Miriam Edmond Bowen; one son, Kyle Bowen; his siblings, three brothers, Carlie, David, and Tim Bowen, and two sisters, Ruth Hayes and Abby Crosby; his mother-in-law, Mary Headrick Edmond and a host of nieces and nephews.
