Joshua Lane Grant was born Tuesday, May 7, 1996, in Laurel, MS. He passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2022 in Collins, MS at the age of 25.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 10, 2022 from 12:00 pm until 1:50 pm at Jesus Name Church at Sylvarena.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 10, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Jesus Name Church in the Sylvarena Community. Burial will follow in the church cemetery under the direction of Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Bay Springs.

Bro. Davy Hammons and Bro. Bill Walker will officiate.

Josh was a loving husband, father, son, grandson, brother, and uncle, who will be remembered for his love he had for his family, a big-hearted individual. His personality was one that exhibited joking, being a prankster, and enjoying the fun times of life with his family and friends. For the past year, he enjoyed being a father to Harper, whom he loved very much and spending quality time with her. He faced the challenges of this life with a fearless character.  He was a current employee of Sanderson Farms, and affiliated with Jesus Name Church at Sylvarena.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Woodrow and Earnestine Grant, and  his maternal grandfather: James Walker.

Survivors include his wife: Aubrie D. Daniels of Raleigh;  one daughter: Harper Layne Grant of Raleigh;  his father:  Shane Grant (Sherry) of Collins;  his mother: Robbin Walker Field (Billy) of Raleigh; two brothers: Austin Grant of Philadelphia  and Sam Grant of Sylvarena;  two sisters: Kayla Sanderford (Sammy) of Raleigh and April Daniels (Dillian) of Sylvarena ; his maternal grandmother: Bessie Walker of Bay Springs;  two  step-brothers, Joshua  Sanford of Ft. Campbell, KY and Justin Binkly of Bowling Green, KY ; his inlaws: Jeff and Leslie Daniels of Raleigh; one sister-in-law: Katelin and Aaron Purvis of Raleigh; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins, and many friends.

Pallbearers will be Jared Nichols, Justin Sanderford, Cody Walker, Luke Walker, Tyler Thornton, and Andrew Sanderford.

Honorary pallbearers will be Zach Walker and Caleb Nichols.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 10, 2022 from 12:00 pm until 1:50 pm at Jesus Name Church in the Sylvarena Community.
