Joyann G. Buquet, 81, native of Harvey and Houma, LA, resident of Rose Hill, MS passed away Thursday, September 29, 2022, at her residence in Rose Hill, MS. She was born Friday, July 4, 1941 in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2022, from 1:00PM until 3:00PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs, MS. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2022, at 3:00PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs, MS. Bro. Ed King will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs is in charge of arrangements. 601-764-2181

Joyann was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, aunt, friend and enjoyed being with people and loved to cook. She loved her roses and loved the outdoors, being in the country living. But most of all she loved her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert John Buquet Sr., parents, Stanley M. and Clavilla M. Breaux Guidry, son, Baby boy Buquet, brother, Gerald M. Guidry, sister, Gail Vinet.

Survivors include her sons, Gilbert J. Buquet Jr. (Darlene), Chris P. Buquet (Georgia), Greg M. Buquet (Dayla), grandchildren, Jessica Arceneaux (Lee), Justin Buquet (Shellie), Brittney Buquet, Gennia Sharp (Joshua), Shawn Buquet, Hayden Buquet, great-grandchildren, Stanley Arceneaux, Emma Rose Buquet, Noah Buquet, sister, Judith Guidry Foret.

Pallbearers will be Gilbert Buquet Jr., Chris Buquet, Greg Buquet, Lee Arceneaux, Justin Buquet, Shawn Buquet, Hayden Buquet, and Joshua Sharp.
