Julia Marcelle (Marcie) Ainsworth, 77, of Stringer, Mississippi, died Saturday March 27, 2021, in Stringer, Mississippi. She was born Thursday, July 15, 1943, in Laurel, Mississippi.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Ainsworth; parents, Edward Benjamin and Merttie Pauline Williams; granddaughter, Emily K. Saxon.

Survivors include her children, Jamie A. McBride (Ken), Roxanne A. Purcell (Neil), Ava G. Hallett, and Jeffrey W. Ainsworth (Nice); 9-grandchildren and 3- great grandchildren.

Marcie is a graduate of Stringer Attendance Center, and the University of Southern Mississippi where she holds a bachelor's degree in Public Accountancy and a master's degree in Business Administration. She was a retired CPA. She was a member of Stringer United Methodist Church. She enjoyed cooking, reading, her grandbabies, and her cats.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to the American Heart Association.
