Kenny Wayne Dye, 46 of Magee, passed away Friday, October 10, 2025 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16, 2025 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Wilkerson Memorial Baptist Church, located at 3512 SCR 77, Mize, MS 39116, with funeral services following at the same location on Friday, October 17, 2025 at 10:30 am with Bro. Larry Dennis officiating. Burial will follow in Wilkerson Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery with Colonial Chapel of Raleigh in charge of arrangements.
Kenneth Wayne Dye was born Thursday, May 24, 1979 in Laurel to his parents, Roger Dye and Barbara McNabb. He attended school at Mize and earned his GED, which led him to a career in the welding profession. Kenny Wayne will be remembered for his strong work ethic, and the example he set before others. He was an avid outdoorsman, and enjoyed music, particularly the country music, genre. He loved his family very much and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He was a Christian by faith and a member of Wilkerson Memorial Baptist Church. Kenny Wayne will be missed by those who knew and loved him.
His father preceded him in death and he is survived by his wife of 28 years, April Jones Dye of Magee; three sons, Waylon Dye, Deklyn Dye and Ashford Dye, all of Magee; two daughters, Alesia Dye Martin (Todd) of Mendenhall and Kenlee Dye of Mize; his mother, Barbara Hatten McNabb of Taylorsville; two grandchildren, Grayson Martin and Graham Martin, both of Mendenhall; three brothers, Roger Dye (Betsy) of Churchhill,TN, Rodney Dye (Brandy) of Magee, and Louis Dye (Shannon) of Raleigh; two sisters, Sherri Stanczyk (Joel) of Wisconsin and Barbie Whatley (Michael) of Sylvarena; nephew, several nieces and nephews; his father-in-law, Don McKinley and mother-in-law, Alesia Easterling, both of Mize
Pallbearers will be Jeff Daniels, Aaron Purvis, Darrell Mazingo, Todd Martin, Kevin Clark, and Derek Martin.
