Larry 'Tom" Mitchell Gaddis, 84, of Mize, Mississippi, passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at Memorial Hospital Gulfport in Gulfport, MS. He was born Saturday, September 25, 1937 in Raleigh, Mississippi.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2022 from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Union Baptist Church in Raleigh, MS. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, March 26, 2022 at 12:00 PM at Union Baptist Church and the Burial will follow in Union Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. David Hays will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Raleigh is in charge of arrangements. (601) 782-4544
Tom loved his family. He treasured his personal relationship with Jesus Christ and was a member of Union Baptist Church. He served in various capacities at Union throughout the years. He genuinely loved people and had a generous heart. During retirement he loved traveling with his wife. They created many special memories with family and friends. He will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Truman and Ina Tillson Gaddis, siblings, Ganelle "Buck" Gaddis, Merle Ashley, Billy T. Gaddis, Annie Ruth Sullivan, Joyce Elaine Sweet, Rose Wigington, nephew, Chris Sweet.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Johnnie Gaddis, daughters, Renee Gaddis Sharpley (Matthew), Nanette Gaddis Ladner (Kevin), grandchildren, Anna Brossette (P.J.), Miki Sharpley, Kaden Ladner, Emily Ladner, Kylee Ladner, great-grandchild, Dallas Brossette and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be James Kevin Sullivan, John Mark Sullivan, Rob Sweet, Lonnie Ashley, Roderick Currie, and Kendrick Currie.
Honorary pallbearers will be George Sullivan, Terry Ashley, Gene Gaddis, Jeff Wigington.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donation be made to Union Baptist Church Building fund.
