Lessie Jewel Westbrook Blakeney, 93, of Raleigh, MS died Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at Miss Care Center in Raleigh, MS. She was born Tuesday, October 14, 1924 in Smith, MS.

Visitation will be held Sunday, November 26, 2017 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Raleigh in Raleigh. Funeral service to follow after. Burial will follow in Lemon Christian Church in Homewood, MS. Bro. Rich Ables will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Raleigh is in charge of arrangements. (601)782-4544

She is preceded in death by her Father - William Nathan and Lacey Jane Westbrook, husband, Joe Blakeney and son, Robert Blakeney.

Survivors include her children, Brenda Matthews, Ricky Blakeney, Jane Parish and Janet Parish, 14 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Shane Matthews, Shannon Matthews, Nathan Lillie, Blade Saulters, Michael Warren and Jody Blakeney.
