Lillie Ruth Sims Stockman, 87, of Bay Springs, MS died Thursday, August 17, 2017 at her residence in Bay Springs, MS. She was born Saturday, February 22, 1930 in Bay Springs, MS.

Visitation will be held Saturday, August 19, 2017 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs in Bay Springs. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 19, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs in Bay Springs, MS. Burial will follow in Enon Cemetery in Bay Springs, MS. Bro. Sammy Stockman and Carter Sims will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs is in charge of arrangements. (601)764-2181

She retired from Jasper County and served as Chancery Clerk for many years and also served as Treasurer of Enon Baptist Church for over 30 years.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Lamar Stockman, parents, John Randolph and Lillie P. Sims, brothers; J.B. Sims, John Tally Sims, Quitman R. Sims, sisters; Bettie G. Waites, Zettie C. Gregory, Joy Nell Grissom.

Survivors include her son, William Lyle Stockman (Mary Lois), Tupelo, MS, grand child, Amanda Inman (Kurt), Tupelo, MS, great-grand child, Savannah Inman, sister, Bonnie Mathis Ervin (Ralph), Bay Springs, MS, and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Family is grateful for loving caregivers, especially, Willie Mae Jones, Marie Windham, Margie Moore and others who helped us along the journey since 2012.

Pallbearers will be Matt Willson, John DeAngelo, Stephen DeAngelo, Morgan Sims, Heath Buffington, Ricky Waites, Samuel Waites.

Honorary pallbearers will be Joseph Sims, Jerry Sims, Randel Pittman, Lee Pittman.
