Linda Lucille Fortune Jackson, 90, passed away on October 20, 2026, at St Dominic Hospital in Jackson, MS. She was born on April 11, 1936, to Vivian "Valley" Linton and Lee Merle Fortune of Brandon, MS.

Linda lived a simple, but full life and never missed a morning of coffee with two of her children. She loved feeding and watching birds, crossword puzzles, her family, her two dogs Little Bit and Pumpkin, and the Lord. She was kind, witty, smart, and a little sassy.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Thomas E. "Pup" Jackson, her sons Robert "Bobby" Jackson and Jerry Jackson, and her brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her sons, Michael Jackson (Tammy) of Stringer, MS and Tommy Jackson (Scottie) of Madison, MS; daughters, Tammy Purvis of Stringer, MS; and Linda Sue "Suzy" Kelley of Nashville, TN; grandchildren Janet Green (Tina), Jennifer Gordineer, Chris Green, Amanda and David Jackson, Kristen Byrd (Chris), Thomas Jackson (Aaron), and Courtney Jackson, and a host of great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, October 25, 2026, from 12:00 PM till 2:00 PM at Colonial Chapel of Bay Springs. A graveside service will be held at 2:40 PM at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Moss, Mississippi. Burial will immediately follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Colonial Chapel of Bay Springs is in charge of arrangements.
