Lloyd Patrick Rayner, 39 of Bay springs, MS passed away Friday, October 7, 2022, at his residence in Bay springs, MS. He was born Wednesday, June 22, 1983 in Laurel, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, from 5:00PM until 8:00PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs, MS. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 12, 2022, at 1:00PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs, MS. Burial will follow in Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery in Bay Springs, Mississippi. Bro. Eddie Brady will officiate. He graduated from Sylva-Bay Academy in 2002. He attended Jones County Junior College after graduating high school and majored in computer programming.

He joined the United States Marine Corps in February 2006. He served two deployments in Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom. He was medically discharged in August 2010 with a rank of Sergeant.

He was an environmental inspector for various pipeline companies across the South.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Troy Lee Rayner, uncle, Michael Rayner, grandfather, Toby Sims, and grandmother, Annie Merle Sims.

Survivors include his father, Lee Rayner; mother, Frances Sims Rayner (Carl Proctor), 3 children, Taylor Rayner, Wesson Rayner, and Scarlett Rayner, his grandmother, Evalyn Rayner, special aunt, Vicki McNeill, a cousin who loved and considered his sister, Jessica McNeill and her children Justin and Haley and several uncles, aunts, and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Justin Grayson, Clayton Kristynik, Buddy Welborn, Sam Blakeney, James "Gump" Gunnell, and Dustin McKenzie.

Honorary pallbearers will be Trevor Phillips and Dexter Phillips.
