Margaret Izula Windham Saxon, aged 101, of Bay Springs, MS, passed away on Monday, June 23, 2025, at the Jasper General Nursing Home in Bay Springs, MS. Born on April 11, 1924, in Bay Springs, Mississippi, she was a cherished member of the community and a devoted member of Enon Baptist Church.

Margaret was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She found joy in working in her garden, sewing, and most importantly, spending time with her family and friends. Her warmth and kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew her, including the residents of Jasper General Nursing Home.

She is survived by her son, Keith Saxon and his wife Maria; her daughter, Charlotte Saxon Brady and her husband Eddie; her grandchildren, Kimberly Brady, Lane Brady and his wife Mary Lois, LaDonna Saxon and her husband Justin, Holly Swan, Brian Smith and his wife Frankie, Paul Saxon, and Hector Pitti; and ten great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Debra Saxon.

Margaret was preceded in death by her son, Donald Saxon; her parents, Erve H. Windham and Margaret Elizabeth Waldrup Windham; her grandchild, Emily Saxon; her sisters, Ervena Windham Earwood and her husband Starling, Erma Lee Windham Parker and her husband Woody, and Carolyn Windham Ishee and her husband Harold; and her sister-in-law, Nellie Rose Saxon Stalnaker.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs, located at 22 E 4th Avenue, Bay Springs, MS. Funeral services will follow at 4:00 p.m. at the same location, with burial at Enon Baptist Church Cemetery in Bay Springs, Mississippi. Bro. Eddie Brady will officiate, with special music provided by Kimberly Brady. Arrangements are under the care of Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs, 601-764-2181.

Pallbearers will be Lane Brady, Corday White, Brian Smith, Kade Cotten, Hector Pitti, and Michael Williams.
