Obituary

Bertha Marie Boyette, 90 of Brandon, MS passed away Sunday, November 20, 2022, in Brandon, MS. She was born Monday, October 17, 1932, in Jasper County, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2022, from 1:00PM until 2:00PM at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church in Rose Hill, MS. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2022, at 2:00PM at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church in Rose Hill, MS. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove United Methodist Cemetery in Rose Hill, MS.  Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs is in charge of arrangements. 601-764-2181

Marie lived a lifetime filled with loving children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other family, whom she thought of daily. She also enjoyed special friendships with lifelong friends and newer found friends. She raised her children primarily as a single parent and relayed countless stories of their shenanigans. While she loved her children unconditionally her pride and joy were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She recently enjoyed her 90 th birthday celebration with her family and close friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Luna Moulds Reynolds, first husband, Homer Luke, second husband, James Boyette, son, Jimmy Boyette, brothers, Ben Reynolds, Harold Reynolds, sister, Johnnie Ruth Crimm.

Survivors include her sons, Larry Luke (Nancy), Joey Boyette, daughter, Linda Moore (Bragg), grandchildren, Kiley Leonard (Jeff), Matthew Moore, Courtney Moseley, Katie Rayburn (Aaron), Hannah Luke, Carley Luke, great-grandchildren, Jacob Leonard, John Paul Leonard, Luke Leonard, Elowyn Callier, sister, Margaret Murray (Emmett) and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Matthew Moore, Jacob Leonard, Jeff Leonard, John Pat Reynolds, Aaron Rayburn, and Hayden Michael.
