Mary Sue Ashley, 91, of Raleigh, Mississippi, died Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at MS Care Center in Raleigh, Mississippi. She was born Thursday, February 23, 1928 in Raleigh, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, July  6, 2019 from 10:30 AM until 2:00 PM at the Union Baptist Church in Mize, Mississippi. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, July 6, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Union Baptist Church and the Burial will follow in Union Baptist Church Cemetery in Mize. Rev. Tim Atwood and Bro. Sue was a homemaker who dearly loved her Lord, family and friends. She was a fantastic cook and managed the kitchen well. Even though she never had any biological children, she was a mother figure to all who loved her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her husband, C.A. Ashley, parents, Willie Atwood and Gertrude Atwood, siblings; James Atwood, Rhue Atwood, George LeBlanc, Joe Atwood, Willie Ruth Ashley Morrison, nephew, Scot Dailey.

Survivors include her sisters, Julia Williams (Gary), Elmira Morrison, numerous nieces and nephews and great and great-great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends, sisters-in-law, Mary Atwood and Geraldine Atwood.

Pallbearers will be Stephen Ashley, Mark Atwood, Rev. Tim Atwood, Tony Atwood, Shawn Bryant and Stuart Dailey.

Honorary pallbearers will be Rickey Bryant and John Butler.
