Mary James Barnes, 88 of Pulaski, MS passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at her residence in Pulaski, MS. She was born Friday, December 27, 1935 in Pulaski, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2024, from 11:00AM until 12:00PM at Bethel Baptist Church in Pulaski, MS. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2024, at 12:00PM at Bethel Baptist Church in Pulaski, MS. Burial will follow in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Pulaski, MS. Bro. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Thomas Barnes; father, Oscar Russum; mother, Mary Burns Russum.

Survivors include her son, John Paul Barnes; granddaughters, Mary Joan Sharma and Katherine Diane Sullivan (Shawn); great granddaughter, Crystal Jo Sharma.

Pallbearers will be Roy Harrison, Charles Ray Harrison, Jason Harrison, Toby Hodge, Glen Bryant, and Ronald Harris.
