Mary Ellion Keyes, age 91, of Bay Springs, MS passed away on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at the Jasper General Nursing Home.  She was a retired business education teacher from the Baldwin County, Alabama School District. Later in life, she worked at Buckley Newspaper of Bay Springs. She was a member of New Home Baptist Church in Taylorsville, MS. Ms. Keyes was a member of several local garden clubs and both Smith County, Mississippi, and Baldwin County, Alabama retired teacher's clubs.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, February 9, 2026, at 12:15pm at Clear Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Taylorsville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, J.B., and Exer Ford Keyes; her sister and brother-in-law, Bettye Ruth, and Richard Flatherty; her brother and sister-in-law, Billy, and Bobbie H. Keyes; and her nephews Rickey Keyes and Marty Keyes.

Those left to cherish her memory include her nephews, Thomas Keyes, and Adam Keyes; her nieces, Ashton Martin, and Addie Keyes; several great-nieces and great-nephews; special friends, Richard, and Cookie Moffett; and a host of cousins and many friends.
