Mary Frances Nichols
(July 1, 1937 – January 11, 2025)

Mary Frances Nichols, age 87, of Forest, Mississippi, passed away on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at the Mississippi Care Center of Raleigh, Mississippi. Born on July 1, 1937, in Baltimore, Maryland, Mary dedicated twenty-five years of her life as a school secretary in Howard County, Maryland, before retiring. She was actively involved in her church and was a member of the Forest Garden Club. Mary had a passion for gardening, playing golf, and cherished spending time with her family. In her later years, she enjoyed artwork.

Mary was preceded in death by her daughter, Melinda Nichols; her father, Joseph T. Gajewski, Sr.; her mother, Emelia Sroka Gajewski; and her brother, Joseph T. Gajewski, Jr.

She is survived by her loving husband of sixty-three years, Mitchell Nichol; her son, Mark Nichols (Christine Bradenbaugh); her daughter, Melissa Nichols; her grandsons, Brooks and Trevor Miller; her granddaughter, Madeline Nichols; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, 219 Sylvarena Ave, Raleigh, Mississippi. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Father Adolfo officiating. The burial will take place in Bezer Cemetery in Raleigh, Mississippi. Arrangements are being handled by Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Raleigh.

Pallbearers will include Jimmy Swain, Anthony Swain, Stacey Craft, Scott Corley, Tim Robinson, and Josh Fountain.
