Mary Dell Vinzant Sexton

Mary Dell Vinzant Sexton, 73 of Raleigh, Mississippi passed away from her earthly home to her heavenly home on Monday, November 6, 2023, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on Thursday, July 6, 1950, in Raleigh, Mississippi.

A graveside funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at High Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, SCR 119, Raleigh, Mississippi. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Raleigh is in charge of arrangements. 601-764-2181

Mrs. Mary was a member of High Hill Baptist Church in Raleigh, Mississippi.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend.  She enjoyed working in her garden, designing flower arrangements, swimming, traveling, but most of all spending time with her family.  She will be greatly missed by all of her loving family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Herman Andrew Vinzant; mother, Martha Ordell Thornton Vinzant; brother, Robert Charles Vinzant; and sisters, Addie Ruth Vinzant Edmond, Frances Jeannette Vinzant Johnston and Merle Edwindell Vinzant Thompson.

Survivors include her loving husband of fifty-six years, Randall Sexton, Sr. of Raleigh, MS; two sons, Michael George Sexton of Raleigh, MS and Randall Sexton, Jr. (Barbara) of Moss Point, MS; one daughter, Kristy Lynn Sexton of Raleigh, MS; two grandsons, Randall Sexton, III (Libby) of Moss Point, MS and Allen Mitchell Sexton of Moss Point, MS; one sister, Pearl Grace Vinzant Morgan of Atlanta, TX; and a host of extended family and friends.
