Mary Helen Windham, of Bay Springs, Mississippi passed away on June 6, 2025 at Jasper County Rest Home. She passed from this life to her life in heaven in a peaceful, gentle, sleep. Helen is remembered by family and friends as a kind, sharing, and loving person. She enjoyed making and sharing crafts with her family and friends. We were always greeted with a loving smile and her always saying "I made this for you".  As we would get ready to leave from visiting her, her parting words to us were always "I Love You". She shared her love, time and abilities with everyone that she came to know. She helped raise all of her nieces and nephew according to her and loved every minute of it.  Her passing is sweet sorrow for all who knew and loved her, but as we are sad at her passing, we rejoice that she is in the precious arms of Jesus. There is no more pain, tears, or sorrow for her as she has joined her heavenly family.

Helen was born in Jasper County to her parents Leroy Windham and Irene Bishop Windham. She was One of four Children. She was Preceded in death by her brother, James Carl Windham, His wife Martha Windham, her brother Cecil Windham, brother-in-law Clark Gable, her great nephew Chadi Aoun.  She is survived by her sister, Mildred Gable, her niece Joanna Gable Martin (Marcus), Tammy Gable Aoun (Sam), Bettie Windham Warren (Joe), nephew Ray Windham (Kim) and a host of great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 9:30-11:00 At Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Bay Springs, MS, on Wednesday, June 11, 2025 followed by funeral services at 11:00.  Mary Helen Windham will be laid to rest at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery in Bay Springs, MS. Pastor Bro. Keith Ulmer will officiate the services.
