Max David Windham, 75, of Bay Springs, MS, passed away Sunday April 28, 2019 at his home surrounded by his wife and children. He was born Saturday, June 19, 1943 in Bay Springs, MS.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 3, 2019 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 4, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs with burial to follow in Walters Chapel Cemetery. Bro. Dwayne Windham will officiate. Max was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed working outdoors, fishing and being with his family and friends. His kindness, love of God and desire to help others touched many lives.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Audrey Craft Windham; father, David Lee Windham and brother, Paul Windham.
Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Jean Windham; mother, Fannie Mae Windham, Bay Springs, MS; children, Susanne Windham Davis (Jimmy), Murrells Inlet, SC, Gwen Windham (Michael Griswold), Ridgeland, MS, Lane Windham (Suzanne), The Woodlands, TX, Dawn Windham, Baltimore, MD, Vickie Cargile (Jeffrey), Bay Springs, MS; 10 grandchildren, Jonathan Davis, Jeremy Davis, Joel Davis, Kennedy Windham, Greyson Windham, Rylee Windham, Gavin Griswold, Connor Griswold, Logan James, Tate James, Tana James and a host of extended family members and friends who he loved dearly and for whom he expressed immense gratitude.
Pallbearers will be Pero McCormick, Jared Windham, Donovan Windham, Jimmy Windham, Billy Earl Johnson and Van Windham.
