Melissa Olivia Rogers, age 52, of Bay Springs, Mississippi, passed away on Wednesday September 16, 2020 at South Central Regional Medical Center in Laurel, Mississippi. She was born Tuesday, July 2, 1968 in Laurel, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 20, 2020 from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Bay Springs, MS. Funeral Services will be held following the visitation at 11:00 AM in the chapel.  The Burial will follow at Bay Springs City Cemetery.  Pastor Hannah Cowling will officiate. Melissa had a compassionate heart, great smile and love talking to people. Her social work career enabled her to pursue her passion of helping people.

She was preceded in death by Ora Rogers (Mother), Curtis and Grace Rogers (Grandparents), Sharp and Dovie Stockman (Grandparents).

Survivors include Joe W. Rogers (Father), Stephanie James (Sister), Wesley Rogers (Brother), Jesse Rogers (Nephew), Terry James (Brother-in-law), friends, and family.

Pallbearers will be Craig Rogers, Tommy Jones, Ronnie Keyes, Karl Parker, Gird Warren, and Kevin Johnson.

Honorary Pallbearer: Bobby Rogers, David Magee, John Sullivan, and J.C. Duckworth.
