Michael Jay McWilliams Sr., 61 of Raleigh, MS passed away Thursday, October 20, 2022, at his residence in Raleigh, MS. He was born Friday, March 3, 1961 in Jackson, Mississippi.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 21, 2022, from 5:00PM until 8:00PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Raleigh, MS. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2022, at 1:00PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Raleigh, MS. Burial will follow in Double Church Cemetery in Raleigh, Mississippi. Bro. Doyle Boyles and Bro. Brent Wade will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Raleigh is in charge of arrangements.
He enjoyed all things outdoors and loved coaching and mentoring the youth through sports, but most of all he loved his family and friends. He also loved to make people laugh and had a sense of humor that was amazing. To sum it up, he was the most kind, caring and lovable man you could have ever met.
He was preceded in death by his parents, W.J. and Helen Wicker McWilliams.
Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Alicia Swain McWilliams, sons, Michael Jay McWilliams Jr. (Gabreanna), Austin James Means (Sydni), daughter, Amanda Cormier (Coleman), grandchildren, Annalea McWilliams, Tripp McWilliams, Brixlee Page, Paxton Means, sister, Sheila Gainey (David) and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Terry McWilliams, Dwight McWilliams, Greg McWilliams, Gary Ricketson, Jeff Butler, Anthony Swain, Jay Pennington, and Anthony Garner.
Honorary pallbearers will be Cole Bergin and Brantley Gainey.
