Michael Christopher Phillips, aged 54, of Bay Springs, Mississippi, passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2024, at his residence. Born on January 31, 1970, in Newton, Mississippi, Michael was a beloved husband, father, and soon-to-be grandfather.

He is survived by his loving wife, Cindy Polk, and his daughter, Kasey Tally, along with her husband Lance. Michael was eagerly anticipating the arrival of his grandson, Cohen Tally. He is also survived by his mother, Sharon Phillips, his aunts Sherri Pyle and Evelyn Chatam, and his uncles Fred Phillips, Wiley Phillips, and Jerry Beason.

"For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. But if I live in the flesh, this is the fruit of my labour: yet what I shall choose I wot not. For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better:" – Philippians 1:21-23

Michael was preceded in death by his father, Medford Phillips.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs, located at 22 E 4th Avenue, Bay Springs, MS. A graveside service will follow on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at 10:00 AM in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery, with Brother John Musgrove officiating.

Pallbearers are Chris Hodgeson, Trevor Phillips, Dexter Phillips, Paul Bourilea, Stacy Ainsworth, Jeremy Ainsworth and Reggie Thornton.

Michael will be fondly remembered by his family and friends, and his memory will be cherished by all who knew him.
