Minnie Merle Boykin, 90, of Raleigh, MS passed away Friday, February 14, 2025 at Mississippi Care Center of Raleigh in Raleigh, Mississippi. She was born Monday, September 24, 1934 in Smith County, Mississippi.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 17, 2025 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Raleigh in 219 Sylvarena Ave, Raleigh, Mississippi with funeral services at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in North Raleigh Cemetery in Raleigh, Mississippi. Bro. Rayford "Red" Bowen will officiate. Arrangements have been entrusted to Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Raleigh
Minnie was a homemaker that enjoyed cooking and quilting. She was determined to make everyone of her grandchildren a special quilt. Minnie was a longtime member of Raleigh First Baptist Church where she served in the nursery for several years. She will be missed by her family and friends that loved her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Boykin; her parents, J.B. Horn, Sr. and Minnie Bruce Horn; her brother, John Benjamin Horn, Jr.; and her sisters, Alowayne Dowdle, Mary Jane Lester, and Nina Hawkins, and her great-grandchild, Riggs Donovan Pullin.
Survivors include her son, Tim Boykin (Pam); her daughters, Deborah Boykin Blakeney (David) and Linda Boykin Toomey (EJ); sister, Laura Simanskey; her grandchildren, Jill Bryant (Stephen), Lindsey Miller (Josh ), Kayla Taylor (Ryan ), Ashley Pullin (Logan ), Lauren Toomey, Elizabeth Boykin and Katelynn Boykin; her great grandchildren, Annabell Sims (Atley), Rachel Tarver (Sam), Madi Hill (Sam), Hudson Bryant, Molli Ellzey, Ellie Pullin, Trace Bowen, Tatum Bowen, Londyn Miller, Marleigh Taylor, Makynlee Taylor and Kannon Taylor and a great-great grandchild, Avery Tarver.
Pallbearers will be Trace Bowen, Hudson Bryant, Stephen Bryant, Josh Miller, and Ryan Boe.
