Obie Jones, 84, of Bay Springs, Mississippi, died Tuesday June 26, 2018 at Jasper County Nursing Home in Bay Springs, Mississippi. He was born Tuesday, May 15, 1934 in Jasper County, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 30, 2018 from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs in Bay Springs, Mississippi. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, June 30, 2018 at 12:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs and the Burial will follow in Fair Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery. He was preceded in death by father, Alonzo Jones; mother, Annie Lois Jones; brother, JC Jones.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years Carolyn Jones; son, Howard Jones (Peggy); son, Rick Jones (Tonya); daughter, Tammy Coker; son, Wayne Jones (Angie); son,  Robert T. Jones; daughter; Heidi Kline; 5- grandchildren; 1- great grandson; sister, Hazel Clingon brother, Charles Jones (Gilda) and a  host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Howard Jones, Rick Jones, Robert T. Jones, Jon Kline, Darrell Walker, and Billy Walker.

Honorary pallbearers will be Wayne Jones, Robert D. Jones, and his nephews.
