Olon Leander Garner Sr., 85, of Raleigh, Mississippi, died Friday February 22, 2019 at MS State Veterans Home in Collins, Mississippi. He was born Saturday, January 13, 1934 in Magee, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Raleigh, Mississippi. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Raleigh and Burial will follow in North Raleigh Cemetery. Bro. John Cockrell will officiate. He was preceded in death by his father, William Luther Garner; mother, Vergie Craft Garner; son, Olon Leander Garner Jr.; brother, Dr. James Odis Garner; brother; Charles Odell Garner; niece, Lorraine Garner.

Survivors include his wife of  65 years Roberta Garner; sons, Robert Luther Garner Sr.(Laura); and, Charles Larry Garner (Kelly); 13 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; brother in-law, Jimmy Kelly (Charlotte); sister in-laws, Ann Reed (Roger), Beth Crumpton, nieces, Priscilla Garner and, Kathy Wells;  nephew, James Larry Garner (Patsy).

Pallbearers will be Randy Carroll, Marcus Boyles, Griff Kelly, Bobby Garner Jr., Drew Garner and Billy Garner.

Honorary pallbearers will be David Nichols, Bert McDaniel and Billy Tadlock

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Blair Batson Children's Hospital in Jackson, MS
