Pam Chaney, age 70, and a current resident of Ruleville, and a longtime resident of Jasper County, passed away Monday, April 3, 2023 at the Ruleville Nursing and Rehab where she had been a resident the last two years.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 7, 2023 from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Bay Springs. Funeral services will immediately follow in the funeral home chapel.  Burial will be in Liberty Baptist Cemetery at Stringer. Bro. Bubba Lightsey will officiate.

Pam was born in Bay Springs, and attended school at Stringer. She worked in the manufacturing industry at Soso, before becoming a homemaker. She was a Christian by faith and a member of Fair Ridge Baptist Church. She enjoyed embroidering, fishing, and was a good swimmer.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Buddy Chaney; father, Hodges Harris; mother, Mary Helen Jones Harris and  brothers, Ronnie Harris and Richard Harris.

Survivors include her son, Eddie Chaney; daughter, Lisa Bufkin (Tony);  two grandchildren, Dalton & Ashton; several great-grandchildren;   one sister, Patricia Williams; one sister-in-law, Regina Harris; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs is in charge of arrangements.
