Mrs. Patsy Gail Atchley, age 72, of Bay Springs, and a longtime resident of Montrose, passed away Monday, September 19, 2022 at the Jasper General Nursing Home.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 from 1:00 pm until 1:45 pm at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Montrose Cemetery under the direction of Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Bay Springs. Bro. Steven Holloway will officiate.

Mrs. Atchley was a resident of Taylorsville before relocating to Jasper County almost thirty years ago. She was a homemaker and a Christian by faith. "Nanna" was an excellent cook. Her homemade biscuits were always requested. Other favorite pass times were sewing, quilting, and being a "mother to all." She was loved and will be missed by her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Atchley, Jr.;  parents, Nevellen and Flora Terry Smith;  brothers, Terry Smith and Jackie Smith.

Survivors include her sons, Danny Atchley and Dewayne Atchley, both of Louin and William  Atchley of Forest;  daughter, Teresa Wallace (Tony) of Louin;  brothers, John Smith and Phillip Smith;  sisters, Alice Hancock and Betty Watson;  grandsons, Jon Wallace (Emily), Charles Wallace (Ivy), Anthony Wallace and Ben Atchley; granddaughters, Aly Garner (Jacob) and Abigail Atchley;  great grandchildren, Lainey Jane Garner, Ace Martin Garner and Caroline Garner.

Pallbearers will be Jon Wallace, Charles Wallace, Ben Atchley, Austin Knotts, Dylan Knotts, Anthony Wallace, and Elam Davis.
