Peggy Ruth Brown, 88, of Bay Springs, Mississippi, passed away Monday, November 18, 2019, at South Central Regional Medical Center in Laurel, Mississippi. She was born Tuesday, January 6, 1931.
Visitation will be held Thursday, November 21, 2019 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Bay Springs United Methodist Church. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 PM at Bay Springs United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Bay Springs City Cemetery. Bro. Andy Cotton will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs is in charge of arrangements. (601) 764-2181
Peggy enjoyed traveling and trail riding. She was the organist for the Bay Springs United Methodist Church for 40 plus years. Peggy absolutely adored her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great great-grandchildren. She was very proud to have five generations of family. Peggy was very appreciative and thankful for the love and support she received over the last few years from Sybil Reed and Elymra Payton. Her memory will live on through the paintings that she specifically left for each family member to receive.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Brown and her parents, Ennis and Katherine Keyes.
Survivors include her children, Kathy Mattox, Charles Brown, Jr. (Regina), and Devors Brown (Doreen); grandchildren, Tucker Brown, McKinley Alarcon (Christopher), Abe Mattox (Velvet), Christy Mattox (Joey McCellen), Tom Mattox (Heather), Charles Edward Brown, III (Wendy), Christopher Donald Brown, George Hill Brown (Krista), Charlie Fall (Brianna), Jessica Brady (Dan), Robby Fall, Abby Bryant (Conor), and Katie Hill; ten great-grandchildren; seven great great-grandchildren; two brothers, Marion Eddy Keyes and Robert Howard "Bobby" Keyes.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Tucker Brown, Abe Mattox, Tom Mattox, Edward Brown, Donald Brown, and George Brown.
