Peggy Joyce Hammons, 84, of Bay Springs, Mississippi, died Monday, March 25, 2019 at Jasper General Hospital in Bay Springs, MS. She was born Tuesday, January 8, 1935 in Smith County, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 29, 2019 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at the Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs in Bay Springs, Mississippi. Funeral Services will be held Friday, March 29, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs and the Burial will follow in Leaf River Cemetery. Bro. Stanley Doggett will officiate. She was preceded in death by Jimmye Nobles Hammons (Husband), Willard Nelson (Father), Annie Mae Nelson (Mother), Kayle Doggett (Grandson), and Max L. Nelson (Brother).

Survivors include Ramona Doggett (Stanley) (Daughter), Jimmye Ross (Leslie) (Son), Brent Keith (Darla) (Son), 4 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Corey Doggett, J.R. Hammons, Ryan Hammons, J.C. Doggett, Paxton Hammons, Payton Hammons, and Brent Wade.
